Aquarius Full Moon: Birthing Radiance from the Inside Out on August 9th, 3:55 AM EDT
The Aquarius Full Moon: Blossoming Intentions
On August 9th at 3:55 AM EDT, we welcome the Full Moon in Aquarius. While it’s commonly known that full moons signal a time of release and completion, they also represent the blossoming of intentions seeded at the new moon—bringing them to light and offering them to the collective.
Two weeks ago, under the Leo New Moon, I set intentions aligned with Leo’s essence: authentic expression from the heart. Now, under the Aquarius Full Moon, I begin to share those intentions outwardly—through this writing and through some exciting upcoming offerings.
Leo & Aquarius: The Dance of Heart and Collective
Aquarius, Leo’s complementary opposite, balances Leo’s courageous, heart-centered energy by ensuring that personal desires serve the collective good. Where Leo radiates from the individual heart, Aquarius distributes that light across the grassroots, uplifting community and dismantling outdated hierarchical systems. Aquarius energy is bottom-up, egalitarian, and infused with the awareness that meaningful personal and collective change requires both heart and courage. The Leo Sun offers us both in abundance.
There is nothing more powerful, in my view, than aligning with the cycles of the Moon. They influence our bodies, minds, hearts, and souls—and remind us of our intrinsic connection to the cosmos. This Aquarius Full Moon is potent, supported by cosmic allies offering their wisdom and innovation. Aquarius is known for intelligence in service of the whole, moving quickly, making quantum leaps, and disrupting the status quo for the sake of evolution. Yet Aquarius is also a sign that must be grown into—a higher octave of consciousness that requires work to get there.
Embracing Wholeness & Inner Renewal
This Full Moon brings an invitation from the Moon and the Aquarian realm to widen our embrace. It asks us to include all aspects of ourselves, the collective, the Earth’s beings—and perhaps even galactic beings. The Leo Sun shines its aliveness into this expanded awareness, encouraging wholeness: the radiant, the broken, the cruel, the kind, the shadow, and the light. Nothing is left out.
By attuning to the wisdom of this moon, we allow more of ourselves to surface—gently, one step at a time. Aquarius brings a deeply inclusive vibration, one that honors the sacred truth that all beings matter. This truth pulses in the very light within our cells. And Leo—through the heart of the lion—shines into this moment with courage, reminding us that we are valuable, worthy, and radiant without apology. But Leo also teaches us not to rise above others in competition. True radiance uplifts without comparison—and this includes the Earth herself.
According to the channeled wisdom in Star Sparks by Elias Lonsdale, the degree flavor of this Full Moon speaks to the discipline of staying true to one’s craft—an ancient way of weaving connection with the Earth, the creatures, and the mundane. Aquarius at this degree may appear impersonal, but its power lies in the devotion to something larger than the self. Lonsdale reminds us that this craft, if not periodically reimagined, can become mechanistic or rigid. And so, the work becomes one of refashioning the craft when life demands it—shifting just enough to catalyze profound transformation.
This requires us to sink beneath surface “doings,” to attune to the deeper pulse—what wants to live, and what must be released. Renewal arises from presence and inner listening. It is both deeply personal and wholly universal.
The Sacred Work of Reclaiming Your Radiance
This Full Moon carries the frequency of hope in a chaotic world. It mirrors the essence of the moon cycle groups I’ve held over the years: guiding people inward to reconnect with their essence, their inner radiance, and birthing that light into the world again and again. And with that, comes the ongoing process of letting go—of the outdated beliefs, societal programs, and conditioned patterns formed over lifetimes of individualism and disconnection.
Reclaiming your radiance is sacred work. It’s not easy, and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes you deep into the inner territory most would rather avoid. But the reward is immense: as the light within you shines, it illuminates what’s been hidden—not only the pain or the pattern, but also your divinity, your gifts, your connection to all that is.
These parts of you emerge when the timing is right—when your soul is ready, when you have space, and when you are held. Sometimes they’re revealed in sharing with others. Sometimes, it’s simply about making peace with all the parts of you.
The moon cycles support this process. They offer rhythm and remembrance. They guide us through the creative cycle of birth and death, preparing us gently for the great mystery at the end of life. If we can surrender one outdated belief or fear at a time, we may come to our final breath with more peace, less fear, and a deeper trust in our divine connection.
